Ann Fryer has changed many people’s lives for the better in her professional and personal life.  She demonstrates overwhelming generosity by giving her personal resources to family, friends, and strangers in need. She has used her wry sense of humor as a third grade and middle school teacher, girl’s basketball coach, and as a coach to children with learning disabilities.  She has served as Director of the Disability Resource Center and Learning Disabilities Specialist at Cal Poly.  While doing all that, Ann has spent time working in impoverished areas of Central America, regularly visiting patients in our local hospitals and retirement homes, working with patients with Alzheimer’s, and regularly serving the homeless population in San Luis Obispo through the People’s Kitchen and the Prado Day Center.
